What size frame for a living room wall?

For a living room wall above a sofa, choose a frame about two-thirds the width of the sofa: 20×30 in (50×76 cm) above a two-seater and 24×36 in (60×90 cm) above a three-seater. Above a console or TV unit, 16×20 works well. Hang the centre of the frame about 145–150 cm from the floor.

What size frame goes above a sofa?

Measure the sofa and aim for a frame (or a group of frames) about two-thirds of that width. A typical three-seater is about 200 cm wide, so a 24×36 frame, about 60 cm wide in portrait or 90 cm in landscape, sits comfortably above it.

How high should I hang a frame?

Put the centre of the frame at eye level, about 145–150 cm from the floor. Above a sofa, leave 20–25 cm between the top of the backrest and the bottom of the frame.

Portrait or landscape?

Follow the photo. Portraits of one or two people usually suit portrait orientation; group photos and scenery suit landscape. The builder sets orientation from your photo, and you can switch it.

Can I see the size on my wall before ordering?

Yes. The builder's “On the wall” view shows your frame next to a sofa, bed or desk at true scale, and “Size compare” lines up every size next to an A4 sheet and a phone.
