Frame size guide
MKFrames makes portrait frames in twelve sizes, from 8×10 in (20×25 cm) for a desk to 48×72 in (120×180 cm) for a hall. For a living-room wall above a sofa, 20×30 or 24×36 is the usual choice. For a sharp print, your photo needs about 200 pixels per inch of the frame's size, up to 4800 pixels on the short side for the largest frames.

Size questions
What size frame for a living room wall?
Above a sofa, choose a frame about two-thirds the sofa's width: 20×30 in (50×76 cm) above a two-seater, 24×36 in (60×90 cm) above a three-seater. Above a console or TV unit, 16×20 works well.
What photo size do I need for a 24×36 frame?
At least 4800 × 7200 pixels for a “Great” print (200 pixels per inch). The builder grades your photo for every size and disables sizes it is too small for.
What size is best for a desk or bedside table?
8×10 in (20×25 cm) stands well on a desk, shelf or bedside table, and makes an easy gift. 10×12 suits a shelf or small wall.
How do I measure for a frame?
Measure the wall space in centimetres and compare with the sizes in the table. Leave at least 10 cm around the frame, and hang its centre about 145–150 cm from the floor.
